Advanced Configuration : How to Disable the Output and Consumption Buttons in the Shop Floor Insight scanning interface

You are here:

This is an advanced configuration article that requires editing a javascript file.  You can hide and disable the Output and Consumption permanently by editing HTML/Ext/app/view/TitleBar.js in the Shop Floor Insight web client files. Always back up the file before editing.

The examples below show the relevant sfiAutoConfig sections. /* existing conditions */ represents the existing condition array contents omitted for brevity.

Disable the Output Buttons

Find these button IDs:

  • btn_t_output — Time Card
  • btn_p_output — Production Order
  • btn_sch_output — Production Order Scheduler (on-premise only)

For each button, replace its existing enabledConditions array and add visibleConditions, as shown below. Keep its existing app and serverAction values.

Before — Time Card example:

sfiAutoConfig: {
    app: 'Time_Card',
    serverAction: "Output",
    enabledConditions: [
        /* existing conditions */
    ]
},

After:

sfiAutoConfig: {
    app: 'Time_Card',
    serverAction: "Output",
    visibleConditions: [false],
    enabledConditions: [false]
},

Disable the Consumption Buttons

Find these button IDs:

  • timecardtitlebarconsumptionbtn — Time Card
  • prodtitlebarconsumptionbtn — Production Order
  • schedtitlebarconsumptionbtn — Production Order Scheduler
  • jobtitlebarconsumptionbtn — Job Task

Apply the same change to each button, preserving its existing app and serverAction values.

Before — Production Order example:

sfiAutoConfig: {
    app: 'Prod_Order',
    serverAction: "Consume",
    enabledConditions: [
        {
            type: 'RequireLine'
        }
    ]
},

After:

sfiAutoConfig: {
    app: 'Prod_Order',
    serverAction: "Consume",
    visibleConditions: [false],
    enabledConditions: [false]
},

Save the file and reload the scanning interface. The modified buttons will remain hidden and disabled when menus refresh.

To keep a button visible but disabled: change only enabledConditions to [false].

Use [false], including the brackets. A bare false is skipped by the menu handler. These changes affect the toolbar buttons; they do not disable other output or consumption workflows. Reapply the customization if an upgrade replaces the file.
