Quality Inspector Source Configuration Card

The Quality Inspector Source Configuration Card defines how Quality Inspector populates test data from Business Central tables. It is used to tell Business Central how one record relates to another by mapping fields from a source table to a destination table or to the Quality Inspection Test.

What can be configured

General fields include:

Field Purpose
Code Short name for the configuration.
Description Description of the mapping.
State Enables or disables the configuration.
From Table No. / From Table Name Selects the table to connect from.
From Table Filter Restricts when this table connection is used.
To Type Indicates whether the destination is a Quality Inspection Test or another chained table.
To Table No. / To Table Name Selects the destination table when the mapping connects to another table.

Subsections include:

  • How Do These Two Tables Connect: maps fields that identify how the source and destination records relate, such as matching document numbers between a header and a line table.
  • What Information Should be Added to The Test: maps source fields into test fields, typically item, document, location, and item-tracking references.
  • Add Information From Related Tables: chains additional related tables so their information can also be copied to tests.

Visible information by default

The card displays the configuration identity, state, source table, optional source filter, destination type/table, and line parts for table relationships and field mappings.

Actions

Assist-edit lookups are available for selecting source tables, destination tables, source filters, source fields, and destination fields. The line part lets you add, edit, or remove field mappings where permitted.
