Modifying the Dates and Zoom

This section explains how users can modify the time period and time scale visible in the Graphical Scheduler.

Definition: The “Dates and Zoom” action allows users to modify the time period that is visible in the Graphical Scheduler along with the time scale. Any change to the time period and/or time scale is user specific and every time the Graphical Scheduler is loaded, the time period and time scale will revert to the default values configured in the view of the Graphical Scheduler. If the user selects another view, this will reset the parameters of the “Dates and Zoom” action.

How to access

  1. Navigate to the “Graphical Scheduler” page.
  2. Click on the “Dates and Zoom” action

Description of parameters

Parameter name Description
View

This allows the user to toggle which view he/she wishes to apply in addition to any change brought to the other parameters.

This field might be hidden. Click on the “Show more” link on the Fast Tab to display it.

Scale

The user can change the time scale displayed in the Graphical Scheduler. This will not update the default time scale of the view. Here are the available time scales:

  • Month and Year: Year scale on the top, month scale underneath.
  • Week and Month: Month scale on the top, week scale underneath.
  • Day and Week: Week scale on the top, Days underneath
  • Hour and Day: Day scale on the top, hours underneath.

NOTE: When the setting “Date Adjustment Mode” is set to “Adjust scale”, it is the length of the time period selected that will automatically set the time scale. See the “Modifying the Graphical Scheduler Settings” section in this document for more information.

Start Date

Updating this value will update the start date of the time period displayed in the Graphical Scheduler.

This may also automatically update the “End Date” parameter depending on the “Date Adjustment Mode” setting.

End Date

Updating this value will update the end date of the time period displayed in the Graphical Scheduler.

This may also automatically update the “Start Date” depending on the “Date Adjustment Mode” setting.

Search

This parameter acts as a filter on the information displayed in the Graphical Scheduler. The values entered here do not appear in the “Filters” section explained in the section above.

This field might be hidden. Click on the “Show more” link on the Fast Tab to display it.
