Quality Inspectors and Quality Inspection Permissions Page

Quality Inspectors and Quality Inspector Permissions help define the Quality Inspector personnel and their specific functional permissions.
The functional permissions do not replace the required permission sets, they extend them.  To review permission set configuration for Quality Inspector refer to https://kb.dmsiworks.com/knowledge-base/permission-sets-for-quality-inspector/.
Use this page to add quality inspectors and customize their permissions in the Quality Inspector module.  You can use one row with the User Type set to “Everyone” to define default permissions to those not explicitly listed. Any user-specific entry takes precedence over what is defined on the “Everyone” page.

Available Fields

Field Description
User Type Specifies the user type. Use an Everyone row to define default functional permissions. If a user is listed, then those permissions will be used instead.
User ID Specifies the user ID the permissions apply to.
Auto Assign Behavior Specifies whether to prompt to assign, or never auto-assign, or always auto-assign when a test has been altered.
Create Test Manual Specifies if the user can create a test manually.
Create Test Auto Specifies if the user can create a test automatically.
Create Retest Specifies if the user can create a Retest.
Finish Test Specifies if the user can finish a test.
Reopen Test Specifies if the user can Reopen a test.
Delete Open Test Specifies if the user can delete an open test.
Delete Finished Test Specifies if the user can delete a finished test.
Change Tracking No. Specifies if the user can change a lot/serial on an open test.
Change Others’ Tests Specifies if the user can change tests assigned to others.
Change Sample Characteristics Specifies if the user can change sampling characteristics on a test. This does not impact the ability to change the default characteristics on a template or the setup page.
Change Source Quantity Specifies if the user can change the source quantity on a test.
Edit Line Note Specifies if the user can add or edit a line note/comment.
Record Signature Specifies if the user is allowed to record a signature.
Upload Signature Picture Specifies if the user is allowed to upload a signature picture.
Signature Picture Uploaded Specifies if a signature picture is stored for this inspector.
