Added external business events Added external business events (ExternalBusinessEvent) for common quality inspection-related transactions for Business Central 22.2.

Improvements and Fixes

Improvement or Fix Description
Certificate of Analysis A basic Certificate of Analysis report has been added.
Configurable grade system A Test Result state of Incomplete, Pass, Fail has been replaced with a configurable grade system, allowing multiple pass and multiple fail states. This also replaces the Fail code.
Ability to collect source details from related records Introduced an ability to chain tables together to allow collecting source details from related records.
Automatic document creation Introduced automatic triggers for automatic document creation for common production events and common receiving events.
Configuration allowing you to see/not see quality inspection Introduced configuration allowing you to choose whether you want to see a quality inspection in Business Central after it’s been created.
Quality inspection document no. Quality inspections now have a document no., making it easier to integrate with several other scenarios and use as a certificate number.
Multiple quality inspections for same record Multiple quality inspections on the same record, without a retest, are now possible.
Granular functional permissions Introduced refined permissions, to allow more specific configuration on capabilities such as creating re-tests, deleting tests, finishing tests, and more.
Variants support Improved support for variants.
Quality inspection rules improvement Improved assignment matching, now known as quality inspection rules.
API improvement Improved API to allow for easier to customize and extend and use the Quality Inspector as a library.
Advanced test criteria filtering improvement Improved support for filtering on related records for advanced test criteria.

Resolved incompatible tests list for phone mode in Business Central Resolved issue with the phone role center displaying an incompatible tests list. The View Quality Inspection tests action from the phone role center is now linked to desktop list and the phone list.

Brick fields update with status changes Improved to ensure the automatic brick fields get updated whenever a test has its status changed.

Resolved Grade and Description not displaying for new test in phone mode Resolved issue with fields not displaying properly when in phone mode on some versions of Business Central.

Improved choice pass criteria in the field wizard Improved experience setting choice pass criteria in the field wizard. This resolved table lookup choice issues with setting pass flags while a new row is being added.

Resolved Description field overrun Resolved issue with Description field’s text overflow error.

Manually choosing a lot when receiving issue resolved (Desktop mode) Resolved issue where manually choosing a lot number in some purchase receipt scenarios could result in an incomplete list of options.
