Import Export PowerTool: Export Data

The Import Export PowerTool extension allows you to export data from either specified tables or from pre-generated configuration packages. To export data, open the Import Export PowerTool page in Business Central.

Export Table Data

  1. Navigate to Import Export PowerTool in Business Central.
  2. Select Export operation (“Export Options” grouping is now available).
  3. Input at least one numeral in the Table ID Filter (specify additional export tables by using the standard business central filter options; e.g., 3|14|27).
  4. Select Export Data and download/save the generated text file (contains the Table ID Filter’s tables).

Export Configuration Packages

  1. Navigate to Import Export PowerTool in Business Central.
  2. Select Operation under Export (“Export Options” grouping is now available).
  3. Select a configuration package to export in the Configuration Package field.
  4. Select Export Data menu action and download/save the generated text file (contains the tables specified in the configuration package).

    Is there an xml to export data from NAV 2016

      No, this tool is for Business Central SaaS only. On-premise installs can just export the data directly from SQL or use a configuration package.
