Setup

Setup

You are here:

On the MxAPS Setup page, configure the application’s connection settings, default values and behaviors, and default time units of measure for various scheduling heuristics. Due to the number of fields MxAPS uses that represent a duration the time units of measure for, these fields are defined in a central location to limit the amount of data that needs to be stored. For example, if the machine center preference is configured here in minutes, values entered in the machine preference field on a routing line or alternate group line are considered in minutes.

Setup Tooltips

Field/Control Name FastTab or FactBox Caption Tooltip
Schedule Result Nos. Defaults Schedule Result Nos. Specifies which number series to use for the scheduling result.
Default Max. Early Days Defaults Maximum Early Days Specifies the number of days before the due date that the order can finish. When the Max Early days on a production order line is blank, this value is used.
Default Order Priority Defaults Default Order Priority Specifies the default order priority when the order priority is not set on a production order.
Default Production Cell Defaults Default Production Cell No. Specifies the default production cell when no production cell is defined.
Default Tree Codeunit Defaults Default Graphical Scheduler Tree Specifies the default tree to use in the graphical scheduler.
Default Tree CU Name Defaults Default Tree CU Name Specifies the default tree to use in the graphical scheduler.
Default Setup Segment Defaults Setup Segment Code Specifies the segment code for a production order routing line’s setup time.
Default Run Segment Defaults Run Segment Code Specifies the segment code for a production order routing line’s run time.
Consider Past Moves Defaults Consider Past Moves Specifies if the scheduler should consider moves from the active schedule when generating a new schedule.
Inventory Location Filter Defaults Inventory Location Filter Specifies if the location code on the production order component line is included in the secondary constraint definitions.  If it is set to Do Not Filter, one global pool of inventory is available; otherwise, inventory is considered by location.
After Schedule Action Schedule Behavior Action to Take Specifies what should happen after a schedule has been generated.
After Schedule Object ID Schedule Behavior Object ID Specifies which object runs if the selected action requires an object.
After Schedule Object Name Schedule Behavior Object Name Specifies the name of the object that runs.
API Key Connection Settings API Key Specifies the connection key to the scheduling engine.
Service URL Connection Settings Service URL Specifies the service URL.
Resource Fence Time Unit of Measure Configuration Resource Fence Specifies the time unit used to measure how long a resource is considered critical.
Update Time Unit of Measure Configuration Update Specifies the time unit used when actual times are entered when production is reported.
Machine Transfer Time Unit of Measure Configuration Machine Transfer Specifies the time unit for material transfers.
Family Idle Time Unit of Measure Configuration Family Idle Specifies the time unit for family idle allowances.
Operation Lag Time Unit of Measure Configuration Operation Lag Specifies the time unit for operation lags.
Cap Wait Time Unit of Measure Configuration Cap Wait Specifies time unit for wait time when orders are combined.
Just-In-Time Increment Time Unit of Measure Configuration Just-In-Time Increment Specifies the time unit for the Just-In-Time increment factor.
Add/Adjust Delay Time Unit of Measure Configuration Add/Adjust Delay Specifies the time unit for the add/adjust delay factor.
Machine Preference Time Unit of Measure Configuration Machine Preference Specifies the unit of time for the machine preference factor.
Scheduling Fence Time Unit of Measure Configuration Scheduling Fence Specifies the unit of time for the scheduling fence.
Segment Delay Time Unit of Measure Configuration Segment Delay Specifies the unit of time for intra segment delays.
Delay Increment Time Unit of Measure Configuration Delay Increment Specifies the time units for the delay increment.
Hole Unit Time Unit of Measure Configuration Hole Unit Specifies the time units for the hole algorithm.
Troubleshooting Features Advanced Troubleshooting Features Specifies which troubleshooting features are enabled.
Experimental Features Experimental Features Experimental Features Specifies if experimental features are enabled.
