Configuring EasyPost

Dynamic Ship uses the EasyPost services to communicate with the various carriers. You must register on the site.


Sign up for an EasyPost account.

Configure an administrator e-mail account. This is for the person who will be primarily have access to EasyPost.


Using the “Drop Down” arrow at the email address, allows you to access an administrative menu.


Set the Billing Information: This can be credit card or bank information. See the EasyPost site on bank transfers. For Credit Cards, specify a main card and a backup card under Billing. Even for testing this must be completed.

API Keys

Obtain the API Key from the “API Keys” menu. These will be needed for the Dynamic Ship configuration, this API key is entered in the Freight Integration Providers screen. API keys are assigned by EasyPost upon creation of the account.

Carrier Accounts

You will need to set up a carrier account for each carrier that you would like to use from within Dynamic Ship. An ID will be assigned to each account you create, and that ID will be supplied to Dynamic Ship. Each Carrier may require different information to set up an account in EasyPost.

The following is an example of an EasyPost Carrier setup screen for UPS:

There are several fields that will need to be completed to set up a carrier account. Each one may be different, for UPS you will need the account number, the last Invoice and Invoice amount.
