Counter Sales version 2.3

New Features

New Feature Description
Quick Sales Order Added the feature to quickly create a Counter Sales order from the user’s role center using their location’s default cash customer or my customers list.

Improvements and Fixes

Improvement or Fix Description
Add Salesperson Code Added the salesperson code from the Counter Sales order to its related payment entries, posted sales orders, price override entries, and lost sales.
Update Sales Order and Return Order Pages Updated the Counter Sales order, return order, and their lines subform pages to closer match their comparable standard pages.
Update Quick Entry Fields Updated the default quick entry fields on the Counter Sales order, return order, and their lines subform pages to improve order entry.
Email Direct Send Report Action is Ignored Updated the logic where the email direct setting for the send report action in the Counter Sales setup is ignored during post and send.
Payment Processing Page Cancel Button Does Not Close Updated the payment processing page where its cancel button does not close the page if no payments are entered.
Quick Scan Page Barcode Control Loses Focus Updated the quick scan page barcode control where it can lose focus and cause the page to select multiple sales lines in its subform page.

New Features

New Feature Description
Default Dimensions on New Payment Entries from Sales Document Dimensions Added the ability to set, or default, the dimensions on new payment entries from the sales document dimensions.
Post and Send Functionality Added the feature to post and send from the Counter Sales document pages. For new installs, the default is to use the document sending profile; for upgrades, the default is to direct print.
Allow Payment Posting on Shipment or Invoice, or Registering on Shipment Added the ability to post payments on shipment or invoice, or to register payments on shipment. For most installs, we recommend to continue using the original behavior to post on shipment.

Performance and Usability Updated the logic in the posting and user management areas to improve performance and usability.
Contact Search Performance and Usability Updated the logic for the enhanced contact search to improve performance and usability. This includes cross field searches performed on the contact’s name, phone number, and email address.
Invoice Shipped Orders from Counter Sales Document Pages Updated the logic to better handle invoicing for shipped orders from the Counter Sales document pages.
Support For Assemble-to-Order Items on the Quick Scan Page Updated the logic in the Quick Scan page to support assemble-to-order items.
Location Code Reset after Changing Customer Updated the logic to retain the location code when the customer is changed on the Counter Sales document pages.
Sales Shipment Number Does Not Clear After Posting Updated the logic to better handle the sales shipment number not clearing on the sales document after posting (prevented manually deleting sales orders posted with unfulfilled sales lines).
Check Item Tracking Does Not Reset Reservation Entries Updated the logic to reset the reservation entries after checking for item tracking on the sales line. This could cause the check to fail when multiple sales lines exist with item tracking.
Take Deposit Register and Print Updated the logic for the take deposit register and print action to match the previous updates for the take deposit post and print.
Quick Status Change Does Not Save Record Changes Updated the logic for the quick status change on the Counter Sales document pages to save changes done to the record before changing its status.
External Document Number Updated the logic to set, or default, the external document number for location specific default cash customers, resolving the non-populating issue.
Keyboard Shortcuts Improved the Counter Sales pages to use keyboard shortcuts consistent with the latest Business Central version.
My Locations Filter Error Fixed the logic where the My Locations filter can result in an error when no locations are set for the user.

Checks For Entering Payments Added checks for existing valid sales lines, excess payments, and payments less than the shipment total when entering payments.
Checks For Deleting Sales Documents Added checks for unapplied deposits when deleting Counter Sales documents.
Checks For Changing Sales Document Change Added checks for payments when changing the location for the Counter Sales document.
Update Keyboard Shortcuts Improved the Counter Sales pages to use keyboard shortcuts consistent with the latest Business Central version.
Quick Sales Document Status Change Improved the Counter Sales document pages to allow quick access for the user to change the document status.
Select Sell-To Customer from Name Improved the Counter Sales document pages to allow the sell-to customer to be selected from the name.
Select Number for Type from Description Improved the Counter Sales document pages to allow the number for the type on the sales lines to be selected from the description.
Global Dimensions on Sales Document Pages Improved the Counter Sales document pages by showing the global dimensions.
Deposit Post and Print for Multiple Deposit Lines Fixed the deposit post and print where the deposit receipt report did not include all deposit lines when multiple lines are posted.
Price Override Ignores Setup for Return Orders Fixed the logic where the Price Override in return orders did not respect what was specified in the Counter Sales Setup.
Validate Qty. To Ship and Return Qty. To Receive Fixed the logic where Qty. to Ship and Return Qty. to Receive were not set correctly based on the Sales & Receivables Setup.
