Warehouse Insight fails on “Padding is invalid and cannot be removed.”

Padding means the license serial key in the web.config file for the web service doesn’t match the license file you have in the folder.
So either the license file itself, the serial or both need to be updated to match your license that should have been provided on the original install.

You will need to edit the web.config file (default location is C:\inetpub\Insight Works\WMDM folder) and replace the “PartialKey” in there. Then make sure that the matching WMDMLicense.txt file is placed in the same folder.

This will take effect when you restart the WMDM app pool or IIS.
