The Insight Works App Registration library application manages registrations for all Insight Works products in Business Central. The Insight Works App Registration application is automatically installed when you install one of our products or upgrade the IWorks Common application to version 2.16 or higher.

Permission Setup

You must assign Insight Works application users the “IWX REG REGISTRATION” permission set. This permission set provides access to view registrations, request updates, and retrieve data from the registration service. It is also required for users to pass app registration checks across all Insight Works applications.

HTTP Requests Requirement

App Registration requires the Allow HttpClient Requests setting to be enabled to communicate with Insight Works registration service. The Insight Works App Registration application attempts to set this up automatically when you first use the registration features. If automatic setup fails, you can enable it by completing the following:

1. Navigate to the Extension Management page in Business Central.
2. Locate and select the Insight Works App Registration extension to open the Extension Settings.
3. Ensure that the Allow HttpClient Requests setting is enabled.
