The Dynamic Ship Install Guide provides an overview of the setup required to configure Dynamic Ship. Dynamic Ship supports EasyPost as the default API and is referred to as our API in this documentation. Other APIs can be implemented as required.

Before you can use Dynamic Ship, complete the following:

  1. Install the License Plate Management app (required for posting shipments).
  2. Open the Business Central Extension Management page.
  3. Select the ellipsis next to “Dynamic Ship: Integrated Shipping”, select Configure, and enable Allow HTTPClient Requests.
  4. Repeat the previous step for IWorks Common, License Plate Management, and any other installed Insight Works apps.
  5. Open the Business Central Assisted Setup page and select Set Up Dynamic Ship to run the Dynamic Ship Setup Wizard.
  6. Identify your required carriers to use with Dynamic Ship (see list of supported carriers).
  7. Register with EasyPost.
  8. Configure carriers on EasyPost (see Configuring EasyPost).
  9. Retrieve account number and passwords for the carriers.
  10. Create the necessary access for carriers.
  11. Configure Dynamic Ship Setup.
  12. Enter EasyPost API information into Dynamic Ship.
  13. Set Carriers in the list of carriers.
  14. Prepare your Business Central data for shipping (see Data Requirements for Dynamic Ship).
