Launch Setup Wizard:

1. Navigate to Maintenance Manager Setup Wizard in Business Central.
2. Agree to the terms and conditions and select Next.
3. Select Apply Getting Started Data (imports data, including templates and numbering series, to avoid manual entry).
4. Select Next.
5. Select the … button, select the required planning worksheet, and select OK.
6. Enable Adv. Whse. Locations if needed.
7. Select Next and select Finish.
8. Navigate back to the main Business Central page.
9. Select Setup and modify the settings in following sections:
   • General:
     • Display Maintenance with Prod. Orders: Configure visibility of maintenance orders in the production order list.
     • Auto Create Equipment: Enable or disable auto-creation of equipment when creating fixed assets.
     • Placeholder Work Center No.: Default placeholder work center number (e.g., 999).
     • Update Actual Interval: Adjust to do this action when the order status changes from “Released” to “Finished” or maintenance status changes to “Complete”.
     • Template Codes: Create and manage template codes for streamlined creation and posting processes.
   • Numbering: Set up default series for maintenance orders and tasks; only update if defaults from Setup Wizard are not sufficient.
   • Worksheets: Pre-configure transaction batches to segregate maintenance-related transactions.
   • Equipment Inventory: Select Keep Inventory (select the posting date preference) or Manage Inventory.

Considerations

• Standard costing is hardcoded with a zero cost to prevent accounting discrepancies for Equipment Items.
• Configure Posting Groups, costing methods (default: standard costing), and inventory values for maintenance items.
• Maintain coordination with the finance team for accurate posting group setups.
