Warehouse Insight allows you to list your add-on catalog that you can configure with applications that are accessible to multiple tenants without manual deployment.

To enable this functionality, you need the following:

• An externally accessible host to contain the apps and their configurations.
• An addons.json file representing the listing details.
• The Warehouse Insight Setup configured to show the private catalog.

1. Accessible URL

The accessible URL must be in a format so that the root contains the addons.json file (e.g., https://your.domain.com/addoncat/) as it is used as the base URL for all other required files from the JSON file. This URL must be accessible through paths, so that the JSON resolves as: https://your.domain.com/addoncat/addons.json

Additional files resolve as: https://your.domain.com/addoncat/private-app/install-file.app

2. JSON file

The addons.json file details each add-on that should be listed as available. Here is an example structure:

• If the app you want to list is XML only you should leave the extension_file and extension_guid blank.
• Using the Export option from the Warehouse Insight Applications page allows you to create a configuration file. To include more configuration (e.g. custom setup tables), you can use Import Export PowerTool.
• All configurations must be in a single text file. If there are multiple applications, merge all text files into one. Data from identical tables does not need to be merged into the same heading as the same table can be featured multiple times.
• We recommend that your app names are pre or postfixed with your name or an acronym as apps with the same name as an existing Warehouse Insight Add-on Catalog entry will not be displayed.

3. Warehouse Insight setup

Configure the following fields:

• Private Add-on Catalog URL: The URL of the add-on catalog to be used when downloading private add-ons.
• Private Add-on Catalog URL Caption: The caption/grouping to associate with the private add-ons.
• Private Add-on Catalog Disclaimer: The message to display when installing a private add-ons.

Once configured, (1) will be used to generate the listings while (2) will caption the section in the addon catalog. Every install action triggers the defined disclaimer.
