Configure Scanner Settings for Memor 10/20 and Zebra

Configure scanner settings for Memor 10/20

For Warehouse Insight to handle scans properly on Memor 10 and Memor 20 scanners, you must enable the intent wedge. The following steps guide you through the process of setting up and enabling the intent wedge on Memor 10 and Memor 20 scanners.

  1. Install WHI on scanner.
    1. Scan the WHI APK barcode from the Installation Report in the browser’s url.
    2. Select the Enter key beside the url field (you will be automatically prompted to download the WHI APK).
    3. Approve permission requests during the download.
    4. Click Yes to install (WHI appears on your home screen).
  1. Configure scanner settings by enabling Intent Wedge for:
    1. Memor 10
      1. Go to System and select Scanner Settings.
      2. Turn Enable Keyboard Wedge on.
      3. Turn Intent Wedge on.
      4. Log into WHI.
      5. Set Label prefix to None (sets formatting).
    2. Memor 20
      1. Go to Datalogic Settings and select Scanner Settings.
      2. Turn Enable Keyboard Wedge on.
      3. Turn Intent Wedge on.
      4. Log into WHI.
      5. Set Label prefix to None (sets formatting).
  2. Configure WHI on scanner:
    1. Download APK files.
    2. Set decoding format.
    3. Configure scanner.

Configure scanner settings for Zebra

For Warehouse Insight to handle scans properly on Zebra, you must configure the scanner settings. The following steps guide you through the process of setting up and enabling the intent wedge on Zebra scanners.

  1. Open the Android App Drawer and tap DataWedge.
  2. Select the Warehouse Insight profile.
  3. Add Application Assignment (com.insightworks.warehouseinsight).
  4. In the Keystroke output section, clear the Enabled checkbox.
  5. In the Intent output section, do the following:
    1. Select the Enabled checkbox.
    2. Enter whibarcode in the Intent action field.
    3. Clear the Intent category field.
    4. Tap Intent delivery and select Broadcast Intent.
    5. Tap Basic data formatting and clear the Enabled checkbox.
