Introduction: Advanced Inventory Count

Insight Works’ Advanced Inventory Count app for Business Central allows you to manage, complete, or partially physical inventory and in progress inventory counts. You can identify items to count, generate count sheets, and enter the physical count into Business Central.

Advanced Inventory Count supports all possible inventory setups in Business Central:

  • No Locations
  • Locations without bins
  • Locations with bins not mandatory
  • Locations with bins mandatory
  • Locations with Directed Put-away and Pick enabled (Advanced Warehousing)
  • Any of the above configurations with item tracking (serial numbers and lot numbers)
  • Bins mandatory with warehouse lot/serial tracking
  • Directed pick with warehouse lot/serial tracking

To use Advanced Inventory Count, create an inventory count card and group parts into separate count sheets. You can create these groupings based on any item criteria (e.g., location, bin location, or shelf number).

Version Information

To check the current version of the product, navigate to Extension Management in Business Central and locate the Inventory Count card.
