Configure DocXtender Permissions
The following section describes DocXtender configuration for set up.
User Configuration
The DocXtender Permission Set provides access to features for individual users.
Set user permissions
- Navigate to Users.
- Locate user, select
icon, and select Edit (User Card opens).
- Scroll down to Permission Set.
- Input IWX COMMON permission set.
- Input Permission set for:
- Administrator: DOCX-SETUP
- User: DOCX-USER
- Close User Card (changes made are automatically saved).
For version 2.0.7461.0, it appears the permission set is IWORKS COMMON.
We had to play around with the SharePoint configuration a bit to get it to work the way we wanted.
1. Mappings to DocXtender Setup SharePoint fields from SharePoint url

2. The Documents folder in the main SharePoint site or any other site ends up being Shared Documents in the generated url
3. Any file path(s) specified in the SharePoint Folder will be generated, always as sub folder(s) under the Documents folder
4. After attaching files, if you click the vertical ellipses and select edit
a. Text files and PDFs will display the path specified in the SharePoint configuration

b. All other files (including Csvs) will display a different path although the files will be in the proper place in SharePoint
