Include Extra Text on Shipping Label

You are here:
Extra text can be included on the shipping label using package options on the Customer Options page.
First create a package option template with the text that you want to appear on each package for that customer:
VERBOSE
Note that FedEx and UPS use different fields. Other carriers may use other combinations of these 4 fields.
Note: See this article for standard placeholders that can be used for the text, such as invoice numbers, etc.
Then create a customer option to select the package option template:
Dynamic Ship Customer Options

This text will then be automatically included in any new shipments:

Fedex1
Fedex2

    The “extra text” in Print custom 3 does not appear on any of the example labels.

      Hello Christine,

      The Reference 3 field is only applicable to specific carriers.

      FedEx will allow for that field to be populated. Reference 1 and 2 can also be carrier specific, it is a best to reach out to your carriers to confirm which reference fields that will accept data.

      If you are looking to add an additional field for UPS in addition to the Reference 1 and 2 you can use the “Invoice” field with one of the Label Placeholders identified in this Knowledge Base article: https://kb.dmsiworks.com/knowledge-base/label-placeholders-package-options/
