Import Export PowerTool: Import Data

Import Export PowerTool: Import Data

You are here:

The Import Export PowerTool extension allows you to import data that has been previously exported. During the import process, new records can be allowed or disallowed depending on the “Allow Record Inserts” configuration option. Record updates can be allowed/disallowed depending on the “Allow Record Updates” configuration option.

Update existing records in Business Central with changes made in a previously-exported file by completing the following:

  1. Navigate to Import Export PowerTool in Business Central.
  2. Select Import operation (“Import Options” grouping is now available).
  3. Set Allow Record Inserts to false.
  4. Set Allow Record Updates to true.
  5. Select Import Data and select the file containing the changes.

I can’t import (insert) in table General Ledger Entry. During import procees, the application asks me for “No write permission on General Ledger Entry. Continue?“. And I click “Yes“. Then, it ends the process by saying that 13 rows have been imported. But in General Ledger Entry no entry is shown. My user has SUPER permission and in “Import Export PowerTool Setup” the field “Update Access” = “Allow” and “Protected Tables” = “Allow Access”. Business Central version is 22.5.59966.60134, and Import Export PowerTool version is 1.0.8650.1. Thank you
