Application Description of Barcode Generator

You are here:

Barcode Generator makes it possible to add linear (Code39 and Code128) or 2D (Data Matrix and QR Code) barcodes to reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, seamlessly integrating with existing hardware and third-party applications. You can also modify existing reports such as invoices, order confirmations, and production orders to include barcodes, or you can create new reports with barcodes.

There are numerous sample reports are included that you can use as-is or create modified layouts. To add barcodes to your reports, you will need to use the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development tools to create a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central extension.

Another addition is the ability to create a predefined list of barcodes, categorize them for bulk barcode print jobs that are done often, and scan these barcodes in Tile View.

Note: A valid Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central User License is required.
To check the current version of the extension, navigate to Extension Management. There you can use the ellipsis to view detailed information, including the version.
