The Two Stage Inventory Pick Application add-on allows you to turn Inventory Pick into two-stage picking by using Item Reclassification Journals to move items from the picking line bin to the shipping bin.

Install

To install the Two Stage Inventory Pick application in Business Central:

1. Navigate to the Warehouse Insight Add-on Catalog page in Business Central.
2. Select Two Stage Inventory Picking.
3. Select Install at the top of the page.

Configuration

Once the installation is complete, complete the following configuration:

1. Navigate to the Location card and set up a minimum of two bins (one for picking and one for shipping).
2. Enable Require Pick on the Location card.
3. Select Bins > Shipment and set the Shipment Bin Code.
4. (Optional) Create an Item Journal Template with Type “Transfer” (if a Transfer type template is not found, the system creates one with the code ITEMRECLAS).

5. Locate the Partial Pick Handling configuration in the Two Stage Inventory Picks group.
6. Select the required option to determine what happens when trying to register a partial pick:
   • Allow: Allows partial picks.
   • Allow (delete pick): Allows partial picks and deletes the remaining pick.
   • Block: Blocks all partial picks.
   • Prompt: Prompts the user to determine how to continue, allow, allow and delete, or cancel to not register.

User Guide

You can process Two Stage Inventory Picks using the standard Inventory Pick workflow. In addition to the base posting behavior, the following actions occur when an Inventory Pick is posted:

• An Item Reclassification Journal is created to move items from the picking line bin to the shipping bin.
• The Item Reclassification Journal is posted to complete the pick.
• You can now process and post The Sales Order independently.
