Create a Freight Quote

You are here:
Freight costs can be included in a sales order or sales quote.
In a sales order the Freight Quote option will be under the Process menu (In Business Central: Actions > Shipping Rate Quote):

In a sales quote the Dynamic Ship Freight Quote option will be under the Quote menu (In Business Central: Actions > Shipping Rate Quote):

For both types of sales documents you will get the Dynamic Ship Freight Quote page:

You will need to fill in all 3 fields before clicking on the Get Quotes button:
  • Select an appropriate package template to set the box size.
  • Enter the number of boxes.
  • Enter the weight per box (default is the sum of the gross weight from the item cards).
All freight costs will include any markup you have defined in your freight price rules.

    Is there a way to get Freight Quote from “Dynamic Ship Package Worksheet”? as this will help to choose the cheapest option while generating shipping label.

      Hello Birpartap,

      Dynamic Ship Setup has the option to choose the “Cheapest” freight quote from available rates under the Freight Fast tab > Freight Auto Selection.

      Freight quoting in the Package Worksheet is done via the rate worksheet page when you choose the command “Get Label”.

      You can view all the rates and have the option to click OK to accept or Cancel once you see the rate you would like.

      A freight quote in the Package Worksheet would require a customization.

        Hey Terri

        Thank you for your quick response.

        Dynamic Ship Setup -> Freight Fast tab > Freight Auto Selection to ““Cheapest” will work but we have lot of different accounts added under easypost which belongs to different customers and we don’t want to use.

        To get quote only on certain account from package worksheet will need “Freight Quote” option.

        Can you please guide on how to request for customization? can we reach directly to customer service regarding this?

          Rate shopping with multiple carrier accounts are not supported by the API, so the customer card and all of their orders must have the Shipping Agent pre-set in order before checking freight rates. No customization is needed. For more details, you can email [email protected]
