You are here:

For the devices to connect to Business Central, at least one Device Configuration must be created.

  1. Navigate to the Device Configurations page in Business Central.
  2. Create an entry if needed.

    Hello,

    I have configured warehouse insight with the Business Central cloud version.

    Is it possible to scan and add additional new items to a released purchase order at the time of scanning warehouse receipt materials using the ZEBRA scanner without altering the released purchase order in Business Central?

      Hello KS,

      Out of the box, it is not possible to insert new lines onto the Purchase Order from the scanner.

    I have added 2 item lines in the PO. While receiving the material when we scan the first item it updates the barcode and the quantity automatically with the correct number. Similarly if I scan the second item, the barcode number is updating in the “Quantity” filed. How to fix this issue,?

      Hi KS,

      Have the scanner settings been updated for the Zebra devices? Below you will find the steps to configure the scanner settings on a Zebra device.

      1. Open DataWedge.
      2. Select the Warehouse Insight profile.
      3. Select Application Assignment, if there is no icon next to the “*” entry, you will need to recreate this entry.
      a. To recreate the entry, tap and hold the incorrect entry until you get the option to delete the entry and delete it.
      b. Click on the three dots on the top right corner and select to add a new entry.
      c. Scroll down the list and select com.insightworks.warehouseinsight. This list is alphabetical.
      d. Next, select the * option (it is the first option in the list).
      4. In the Keystroke Output section, clear the enabled checkbox.
      5. In the Intent Output section, configure this section as follows:
      a. Intent Output: Enabled
      b. Intent Action: whibarcode
      c. Intent Category: Make sure this field is blank
      d. Intent Delivery: Broadcast Intent
      6. Disable Basic Data Formatting and Advanced Data Formatting
      7. In Warehouse Insight, tap the Menu > Configure (default password is 1234) > Menu > Barcoding. Configure these settings as follows:
      a. Barcode Wedge: Android Intent
      b. Intent Action: whibarcode
      c. Intent Category: Make sure this field is blank
      d. Intent Barcode String: com.symbol.datawedge.data_string
