The Update Lookup Display Order action automatically sets or updates the Lookup Display Order field for option choices and choice set choices based on the current sort applied to the page.

Locate Update Lookup Display Order

The Update Lookup Display Order action is available on two pages:

• Option Choices subpage (within the Configurator Options page)
• Choice Set Choices subpage (within the Choice Set worksheet)

Use Update Lookup Display Order

1. Navigate to the Option Choices (or Choice Set Choices list) subpage in Business Central.
2. Sort the list by the column you want the display order to reflect (e.g., sort by Description ascending or descending).
3. Select Update Lookup Display Order.
4. Select Yes on the confirmation prompt to proceed.

What to expect

The action updates the Lookup Display Order field for each choice in the list to reflect the current sort order. Values are assigned in increments of 10. For example, a list with three choices will be numbered 10, 20, and 30.
