This article shows you how to automatically copy Quality Inspection attachments, such as a certificate of analysis, to a sales order. You can use this feature to help with scenarios like sending certificates of analysis for related tests on a sales order.

Prerequisites

• Have Business Central 26 SaaS or newer with interactive email integration.
• Have Quality Inspection tests for items that are lot tracked, serial tracked, or packaged tracked.
• Have attachments on the quality inspection test.
• Have a sales order with a line for the same item, with an item tracking line for the same lot as the test with the attachment.

Steps

Before you begin, ensure you have an attachment on your quality inspection test. Also, ensure you have a sales order with a line for the same item, with an item tracking line for the same lot as the test that has the attachment.

1. Navigate to Sales Orders in Business Central.
2. Open the Sales Order.
3. Select Print/Send and select Email Confirmation… (Business Central interactive email page opens).
4. Locate the Attachments section and select Add file from source document.
5. Select the attachments to add.

6. Select OK.

The attachment is now added.
