Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) applications use Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) to uniquely identify packages for electronic commerce transactions. The EDI application almost always generates the SSCC after it has retrieved the data electronically. If the EDI does not generate the SSCC code, your programmer can create an extension to generate it.

You must pass in the information required to generate the number to Dynamic Ship. This generates the SSCC according to the specification. Once generated, there are 3 EDI fields on the license plate (including SSCC) you can use via extension to store this number.
