The Embedded License Plate add-on for Warehouse Insight allows users to create parent/child license plate relationships from the scanner.

Key Features

In Warehouse Insight, three new menu options are available on the scanner within the License Plate application. This allows users to open a license plate and assign it to a parent license plate or assign an existing child license plate to it.

Prerequisites

Embedded License Plate is an add-on for Warehouse Insight 2.15. Before installing, you must install and configure Warehouse Insight 2.15 or newer in Business Central.

Install

To install the Embedded License Plate app in Business Central, complete the following:

1. Navigate to the Warehouse Insight Add-on Catalog in Business Central.

1. Select Embedded License Plate select Install.

This installs all data required to run the Embedded License Plate app, including the extension app file, the Warehouse Insight applications, and supporting data (menus, columns, and more).

Once you have completed installation, navigate to the Warehouse Insight Device Configurations page and set up which outbound orders will be printed.

User Guide

Users can create embedded license plates by doing the following:

1. Select License Plate on the scanner.
2. Select a license plate to be in focus.
3. Select Assign as Child LP to assign the license plate in focus to a different license plate.
4. Select Assign as Parent LP to assign the license plate in focus as a parent and select a child license plate to be added.
5. Select Remove Parent/Child LP to remove the any parent/child license plate relation.

Uninstall

Below are the steps to remove the Embedded License Plate module. You must manually remove the extension and any configuration data.

1. Navigate to the Extension Management page in Business Central.
