As of May 1, 2025, Insight Works no longer offers perpetual licenses for new orders. Here’s how it breaks down:

New Customers

  • All new customers—whether deploying on-premises or via Microsoft’s SaaS platform—must purchase apps using the Subscription Price List.
  • Perpetual licensing is no longer available for new customer environments.

Existing Perpetual Customers

  • Customers who already own Insight Works perpetual licenses can continue to:
    • Purchase additional licenses for their existing products using the Perpetual Price List.
    • Keep their current licensing structure—no forced migration to subscription.

However:

  • Any new products added to their environment must be licensed under the Subscription Price List.

Migrating to SaaS or BC Subscription

  • Our policy remains unchanged for customers moving from on-premises to Business Central SaaS or subscription-based environments:
    • If a customer is current on their Enhancement Plan (16% of original license cost annually), there is no additional cost to switch to subscription.
    • The annual enhancement fee simply becomes the new subscription fee for their existing licenses.
    • Any additional license will be ordered from the subscription price list.
