The warehouse setup is small and simple, so we opted to use shelf numbers, and did not use any Bins. We do however have multiple locations, and would like to move items using a device, specifically between the warehouse and the service trucks.

For a scheduled re-stocking of a truck, a transfer can be prepared in BC and then completed using the device.

For on the fly movements, we would like to use the Ad-Hoc function, however the user guide specifies scanning a Bin as the first step, but also refers to changing locations, even to a location that does not use Bins.

So can we use Ad-Hoc without Bins? If so, how?

        Hello James,

Yes, you can use and do Ad-Hoc movements between Locations without Bins. In a Location without BINS, your first step will be to scan the Item, not scan a BIN since there are no BINS.

Then you follow the same Ad-Hoc Movement process.

When you switch to “Place” mode, you will need to scan a Location barcode to properly “Place” it. You won’t be able to manually select a Location.

        Thank you,
