Hey all, new to WMS Express and Business Central and I’m trying to get WMS Express Standard setup on a Memor K so my simple warehouse and ordering processes are easier on the team. We use POs in Business Central to order new inventory from suppliers, and sales orders to ship it out when customers order. So I setup WMS Standard as it says it supports Purchase Orders and Sales Orders Picks/Ship.
I got everything setup on the Memor K and WMS Express in BC….however when I click on Recieve I see a partial list of my current POs, and they are labelled PO-12345 etc. When I click on one it says Warehouse Reciepts are not support in Standard.
What am I missing? They are labelled as POs, so why can’t I view them? Do I need to be creating them differently in BC to use WMS Standard, or should I reinstall WMS Warehouse instead? Seems like Im missing something simple here.Travis PlettAugust 4, 2022 at 7:29 amPost count: 85
Check your location card in Business Central to see if you have any of the warehouse requirements enabled. If so, you will need to use WMS Warehouse with warehouse receipts, put-aways and picks.
WMS Standard can only be used with sales & purchase orders if all of those warehouse requirements are disabled.
If you want to mix and match with some requirements enabled and others disabled, that would require Warehouse Insight Advanced.
Note: Please check with your Business Central partner before making any changes to the warehouse requirements in the location card.Chris WebbAugust 4, 2022 at 10:10 amPost count: 2
Thanks for confirming, that’s what I feared. Is there an easy way to change versions, or a guide you know of on how to uninstall and reinstall? I’m doing this all on the sandbox at the moment.Travis PlettAugust 4, 2022 at 3:32 pmPost count: 85
You can re-run the WMS Express Setup Wizard to choose a different version (in this case select the Warehouse version).
