      Hi,

       

      Client would like to have a forecast for the configured product with some normal BOM for which the purchases are done.

      Quoting Item is used, so it does not create new items.

      But also when keying the sales orders when product is configurated so it will use the BOM on item card and that will overwrite the configurated BOM. Can that be changed so the Item Card BOM does not overwrite configured BOM or we need to use variants on the Forecasts?

        Would it be possible that the Quoting Item card has BOM, but it would be overwritten by the configurator for Sales Orders/Quotes and to production orders?

          Hello Aki,

          Correct, currently if you have type Quoting Item and it has a Production BOM or Routing attached to it from the Item Card, the attached will take precedent.

          You would likely have to use variants on the forecast.
