Show LP List showing more License Plates then expected in Pick

Hello,

Maybe I am simply misunderstanding but our Show LP List seems to be showing more license then I expect it to. I currently have the block set as follows:

Show Assigned: True

Show Available, Allow Remove and Allow New: False

Right before the Show LP List I Set lp_sourde_doc to doc_num

I am expecting this to return only the license plates that have a source number matching the doc number.

Instead it seems to be returning the license plates that have a source number matching the doc number plus what seems to be hundreds of license plates with no source number.

Is there a way to prevent this?

I would prefer it does not return the license plates that have no source number.

I tried to add screenshots but seems like they have to be hosted elsewhere and linked. I will look for a place to do this if need be.

Hello Terri,

This is in our Pick doc. If the user goes to the menu and selects “Start a License Plate” it prompts them asking id they would like to choose an existing license plate. If they select yes they are shown the list.

This is an issue for us because we have a short busy season with many inexperienced staff and we enforce picking to a license plate. So sometimes they exit a pick document part way through and forget what license plate they were working on. We would like them to be able to just go back into the same pick document, choose an existing license plate and not be overwhelmed by a huge list of license plates.

Hello Matt,

To reduce the amount of LP’s showing, you can archive the LP that have nothing tied to it.

There is a report in Business Central called “Archive License Plates” you can run to accomplish this. Navigate to this report by searching “Archive License Plates” and set the parameters to reflect the listings you do not require, this should simplify your License Plate list and allow some flexibility.
