QI Grade conditions

If you only have a simple Pass/Fail/In Progress setup, then the Grade Conditions section is normally hidden because it is not required.

In that scenario, you define only the pass condition directly on either:

• the field card, or
• the template line itself

Anything that does not meet the pass condition automatically becomes the failing result. You do not separately define fail conditions when there is only one passing grade and one failing grade.

The Grade Conditions section is mainly intended for scenarios with:

• multiple passing grades, or
• multiple failing grades

For example:

• Pass / Pass with Warning / Fail
• Minor Fail / Major Fail / Critical Fail

In those cases, you define detailed grade conditions for each possible result.

If you do need to access Grade Conditions, navigate to Quality Inspector Setup. In the Default section, under Visibility Setting, locate the Grade Visibility field and set it to Show All Details.

After enabling that option, the Grade Conditions details and expand functionality will become visible.

In most implementations with only a single Pass and single Fail result, leaving the visibility at the simpler setting is usually recommended because only the pass condition is actually configured.
