Project Task shows showing regardless the status (BUG?)

Yes, that is correct. The list of Project Tasks (aka Job Tasks) will be visible in the SF web client provided the job tasks meets the filtering requirements as defined on the “Job Task Custom Filter” field which is found on the SF setup page but also on the SF client configuration card. Both sets of filters are applied.

Unfortunately, no it isn’t possible to filter using the status of the Project. You will see the Project Tasks for all Projects, regardless of the Project’s status.

What you could perhaps do is to add a filter to only see the Projects that have been released. Perhaps by using a date filter on the SF setup page, or by some other field to filter with in the “Job Task Custom Filter”.

Another approach could perhaps be to add a custom field to the Project task table and then use that field to build the filter to your liking.
