I am planning to use Dynamic Ship out of the gate and will adding the Warehouse Insight mobile warehousing app later on. We would like to move up to the latest Business Central release, but have heard that there have been some printing issues with ISV products as of the October 2019 release. We want to make sure that these printing issues have been resolved prior to moving to the latest release. Can you please provide this information?

If this is BC on-prem, we aren’t aware of any printing issues. However, currently, BC Cloud does not provide a method of printing without requiring user interaction. That means that for every report printed, the user has to select the printer. There is a work-around for Chrome and Firefox to allow you to automatically print reports, but then you can only print to a single default printer. We always suggest that you contact Microsoft with feedback on this limitation. However, we can provide integration with a 3rd-party cloud printing service (PrintNode) to allow you to automatically print to multiple printers from handhelds on BC sessions. Setting this up normally takes a few extra hours during the install, and PrintNode charges a monthly fee to use their service.

I’ve determined that this is a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central issue – not an issue with Dynamic Ship.
