      I want to include option text in the extended text and add text to manufacturing comments.  I have created an ext text template with Option Text.

      When I configure a new item from a sales order the extended text with the Option Text included is showing correctly in the comments, however when an Assembly Order is created the Option Text does not reflect in the Item Assembly Bom and thus not in the order.

      Is there way to have the option text display as an extended comment in the Assembly Bom?

        Hello Warren,

        You will need to use the Option Choice Comments (e.g., Comment Type Assembly BOM).

        The Extended Text is just for the Sales Document.

          Thank you, Terri, I used Option Choice comments – Assembly BOM and it worked.
