Hello, trying to update a custom field on the G/L Entries table and getting a permission error:

Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action. (TableData 17 G/L Entry Modify: Import Export PowerTool)

I have SUPER without company restriction.

IEPT Setup is also set with Update Access = Allow and Protected Tables = Allow Access.

Is it possible to do this?

There are a lot of protected ledger tables that are not editable in Business Central. Microsoft simply does not allow for them to be edited or deleted for audit purposes, so you cannot use the Import Export PowerTool (even with Protected Tables = Allow Access on the Import Export PowerTool Setup page). You will need to offset these values with journal entries. This includes General Ledger Entries, Job Ledger Entries, Bank Ledger Entry tables, Physical Inventory Ledger Entry.
