I need to see two different things I need to see a 1000 foot perspective for what’s happening in the next few months, but then also a more detailed perspective for the next two weeks. In the 1000 foot view I don’t want to see work shifts or work load capacity, but in the detailed view I need to see the available shifts and available work center load.

Is there a way I can do this without having to reconfigure each time?

Yes. The trick is to create two different views. To configure:

    1. Start with a new view, and call it ‘Macro’, and then edit the view ( View –> Edit )
    2. Show a scale of ‘Months/Years’.
    3. Add the released production order routing lines datasource.
    4. Save the view as a copy called ‘Immediate’, and edit the view.
    5. In the configuration for the ‘Immediate’ view change the scale, and add in the datasource for work center load, as well as the work shifts.

    To use:

    1. After the graphical scheduler starts click ‘View’.
    2. Choose either the ‘Macro’ view created above, or choose the ‘Immediate’ View.
