It is mentioned that the main login screen for the shop floor client can accept both a scanned barcode or also the user can type in their ID (and also I’ve seen where user can type in the barcode text) in order to login. It must be default that only barcode scan is accepted? If we wanted to allow users to use a keyboard and type in order to login, is that configuration or is that development? How do we achieve this?

We do recommend to use a scan to log in, as manual scan does not let you view what you are entering. Any other options that would be custom development.

Thanks for the reply. To clarify, any option other than scanning would require custom development, including manual scan?

Case use would not be on the shop floor but in test environment where I would be the only user. In this case I have found that it would be beneficial to be able to manually enter barcodes as I don’t always have barcodes at my fingertips.

You can do a manual scan out of the box, you point the cursor to the screen and type the barcode entry. You will not see what you ar typing, but the screen is picking up what you are typing.

RFID will not work for logging in to the screen unfortunately, the ways mentioned in earlier thread are the only login methods that work. That is either the Shop Floor Employee barcode or a manual scan.
