      One of our clients want to have validation for when a user confirms an item, based on the attributes, the system gives us the warning that a similar product is already created in the system

        Hello Hritika,

        The Product Configurator will check if it has created an item for the exact same configuration.

        If it finds an exact match it re-uses the existing item otherwise it will create a new one.

        When you run the BOM Designer from the sales line and there is an existing match there will be no message when it creates or updates the sales line with the existing item. However, if you are running the BOM Designer from the Test Configuration action you will get a message indicating the existing item when trying to create the configured item.

        If you are wanting the Product Configurator to check for similar configurations or items it has not created, then you will need to explore an extension to handle the requirement.
