      Hello All,

I had a similar question to the question about bin scanning.

Currently, when a bin is scanned there is an enter quantity dialogue box that pops up.

In our warehouse, we want the production team to be able to scan a bin and then each scan of that bin makes the quantity go down by one. Therefore, we want to get rid of that manual entry quantity box.

      Is that possible?

Currently, it looks like the “scan required” option on the scan behaviors worksheet only works on items and not bins, and when it is on, it still gives a pop up.

      Thank you,

      Cristy Kennedy

        Hello Cristy,

Scanning a bin to increment the quantity would require a Workflow Override change. Although, we discourage this modification. Scanning a bin to handle the quantity is not recommended unless the item only ever exists in one bin and the bin only contains a single item. Item scans are highly encouraged.

If you would like to request this modification, please email support@dmsiworks.com.

        Thank you,
