      Hi

      I am trying to setup MxAPS such that production orders only schedules on a specific machine centre and that machine centre only.

      In my current setup I have a work centre and 2 machine centres (machine 1 and machine 2) linked to that work centre.

      My routing line has Machine 1 on it.

      When I generate a schedule for MxAPS it schedules across either machine 1 or 2 dependnent on available capacity.

      I understand this is standard behaviour.

      How to I set it such that it will not consider the other machine centres within that work centre?

      Real life thinking is that the work centre is a set of production lines however certain items can only run on each machine.

      I am sure that are some settings for this but nothing is appearing obvious.

      Or areas which could do it such as routing constraints/machine constraints, it isn’t clear to me what I should do.

        The Work Center No. or Machine Center No. listed on the Production Order Routing Line is ultimately what MxAPS uses to determine which Capacity Type / No. the Operation is to be scheduled against.
        If a Work Center No. is listed, then all Machine Centers underneath that Work Center are considered as interchangeable and MxAPS will book the Capacity Type / No. for the Operation against whichever Machine Center is available at the time MxAPS determines the Operation should start.
        If a Machine Center No. is listed, then only the specified Machine Center No. can used by MxAPS to book the Capacity required by the Operation unless there are MxAPS Alternate Groups Configured.
        I suspect a MxAPS Alternate Group is configured to allow for other Machine Center or Work Centers to book the Capacity OR the Master Routing may state the Operation as being assigned to a Machine Center, but the Production Order Routing itself is still showing the Work Center instead which would require a Refresh of the Routing Lines.
