Add the ability to make the requirement to answer certain tests conditional on the result of other test lines e.g. if an item fails one basic test line, then require one or more additional test lines to answered to provide more detail, but otherwise those test lines aren’t shown.

      Example:

Visual check with a pass or fail result, if passed then go to next line in template, but if failed display extra line with type of failure based on lookup list rather than just populating comments against the first line.

I like this, it also aligns well with something we’re considering for a future version. To give insight we’re considering incorporating our rule builder library into QI to do things like hide/show dynamically similar to how our Product Configurator app allows dynamic control (https://kb.dmsiworks.com/knowledge-base/use-rule-builder/).   We don’t have firm plans for this capability yet, but if you need something like this for an upcoming install send me a note and we can try and prioritize it higher or look at options for doing it as a customization.

In the meantime there might be some options depending on the use case you’re solving; in the current state you can use expressions in pass conditions to influence the outcome as one approach.  For example if measurement A is X, or if a choice is Y then the pass conditions can change such that the remaining measurements/choices would all pass.    If this is more of an sampling/AQL situation (i.e if you’re sampling 100 and the first 10 fail reaching a fail threshold which fail the test regardless if the other test values have even been recorded), then you can also do that out of the box by setting up AQL on the template.
