Per this guide: FedEx Commercial Invoice Requires Electronic Letterhead – Insight Works Knowledge Base (dmsiworks.com)

It states that I can add the image to the Package Options card, however the fields are plain text.  What format do I need to put in there?  Do I need to upload the files to a publicly accessible imagehost and put a URL in?

        Hi Joel,

To upload, you will need to email support@easypost.com and provide the letterhead, signature images, and your EasyPost FedEx carrier account (ca_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). When you send the images (up to five permitted), mark which image you want in each slot by using the following format:

        • IMAGE_1 – (filename) – letterhead
        • IMAGE_2 – (filename) – signature

Once you have emailed your images to EasyPost, all you need to do is enter the text for respecitve file names for each field and EasyPost will use the image and letterhead provided when a label is requested, so long as what text is entered in the Package Options matches the name of the files that were sent to EasyPost.

Thanks Brett.  I was interpreting the second half as a separate option from uploading to Easypost.  The Package Options purpose is to select between multiple filenames that have all been uploaded to Easypost then?

The Package Options page holds additional information that the carrier doesn’t need to ship but allows you to include such information as the Electronic Letterhead, Alternate Billing information, Signature Required, Additional Handling, Incoterms, HazMat, and more. Any information housed in the Package Options will be passed through to the carrier of your choice via EasyPost. You can set the Package Options in the Sales Order, the Package Worksheet, Dynamic Ship Customer Options, or as a default in Dynamic Ship Setup.

Since the Electronic Letterhead is a requirement for FedEx only, EasyPost will affix your letterhead and signature when you request a FedEx label for a country that requires an Electronic Letterhead so long as you have the image names in the Package Options for that shipment.
