      Dear Support,

      I want to do PO receiving via Inventory Put Away for Lot tracked Item. After I input the partial quantity for Lot “A” then press “OK”, system will create additional line for the remaining quantity. And when I try to change the “Lot No.” for this additional line, it gives me an error message “The Item Tracking cannot be changed due to Configuration settings”.

      Kindly please help.

        Hi Olwin,

        The scanner does not allow for you to change on the Put-Away as it is controlled by the Document you have setup in your Business central.

        On the scanner the Lot number options typically is grayed out by default, therefore not allowing you to changing it at all.

        Per base Business central process, you receive your item via the receipt, once the receipt is registered you create the put-away and there you log in the Lot No. you use. Once you proceed with your Put-away this  cannot change your Lot No. as you have a corresponding document that will not allow for the change.  Even on the Put-away screen in Business Central you will not be able to modify the Lot No.

          Hi Olina,

          Thanks for your update.

          I want to clarify several things here:

          1. I use “Inventory Put Away” (Not Warehouse Put Away)

          2. Business Central allows me to change the “Lot No.” in Inventory Put-Away (Always success)

          3. Warehouse Insight allows me to change the “Lot No.” after I input the “Item No.” (Only success for the first Lot No for the same Item, in case we receive more than 1 Lot No for the same Item)

          The concern here is if I receive more than 1 “Lot No.”, Warehouse Insight apps will automatically split Inventory Put Away Line (which reflect the “Split Line” function in Business Central), and when I want to input second scan information (Quantity and Lot No), after I click “OK”, Warehouse Insight apps give me an error message. If go directly to this Inventory Put Away Line in Business Central, I was able to change the Lot No.

          Kindly please advice.

            Hi Olwin,

            Warehouse Insights Express is a limited version as you know, there is no split function on the app to handle this process.

            You will have to do the split line function on Business Central itself.

            You will have to move to the full Warehouse insights app for the split function to be available.
