We have been having a few problems with the entry of Barcodes in BC and them reading on the Scanner, can you give us a quick walk through of what may be happening ? as some of the codes we have tested are right on BC and when scanned but still seem to come up with a Unrecognised error.
Many Thanks,
Nathan Silverman

There isn’t much context for us to work off of here. We need to know what the specific problem you are experiencing is to provide a confident answer.
Without confidence in what the problems are, my assumption is that you have a problem with the barcode rules, scanner symbology/configuration, or another configuration setup.
For us to better assist you, can you please confirm the item no., barcode data, error message, and perhaps an image of your setups to get a better idea of what’s happening?
Regards,
Nathan

April 26, 2022 at 2:48 amPost count: 8Hi,
The problem was with the Barcode rules as you stated, we had incomplete SKUs being represented in the Barcodes so the initial setup would not work, and a few other missing pieces of information, as these are printed on the box by an outside company so it would be easier to find a way around it than relabelling 4000 boxes, I have been able to add to the Barcode rules and stop the problem from occurring by including the item identifier and the Item GTIN within the Scan.
But we do have multi box items as we deal in furniture we have Shelf units with multi boxes and a different SKU on each box, which isnt ideal, Could we use one of the “custom expression” columns to incorporate “Item References” to enable us to have a Multi barcode item that is recognised by the Scanner ?

Thanks for clarifying for me.
You shouldn’t need to use a custom express field on the barcode rules. There is an Item Reference Expression in the barcode rules (custom expressions typically involve some code). You can chain together as many expressions in a single barcode rule as you’d like.
