I have resolved the save to SharePoint issue, but now when it saves and looks like it’s complete, there is no link or notation in the Attachments section?

This indicates that something in your browser or workstation is blocking the return data from SharePoint.
DocXtender does not manage your SharePoint connection, it just uses your browser’s existing connection to SharePoint.
You may need to get your IT departmwnt to make sure that pop-ups and URL links are not being blocked in your browser or by a third party security application on the workstation. Check the workstation and browser for all security apps including: browser add-ons, firewall, anti-virus, anti-malware, popup blocker, spam blocker. A good test would be to try it on a brand new PC or VM that has nothing but the operating system installed.

For additional troubleshooting assistance, you will need to contact your Business Central partner direct.

I’m having an issue where I want to save to Sharepoint, but when I drag the file and drop the 3 dots just keep alternating and nothing ever happens. Link is no created in attachments and file not saved to Sharepoint. I can turn off Sharepoint and works fine. Any ideas?

    Hi,

From Item Card when i drag and drop a file it is uploaded to Share point (in Item folder of that Item from Card). But user wants to get a window after drag and drop a file to select a folder of Item to save the file. Can we achieve this? Please respond.

    Thanks and regards,
    Kiran.

DocXtender is not available for on-premise installs – it is for Microsoft Business Central SaaS only.

    Hi Support,

what if i would like to use this og General Journal where attachments aren’t stored in Document Attachment but in Inc. Doc. Attachment Overview (table 137).

    Can this be done?

      Only document attachments are supported.
The Business Central page must have a “Document Attachment FactBox” pointing at a valid single record on any page you want to use DocXtender. The Attachment or Link factbox (not just the tab) must also be visible, so you may need to open personalization to add it. To add attachments to any Business Central page that does not include the factbox, see: https://kb.dmsiworks.com/knowledge-base/extend-for-drag-and-drop-document-attachments-to-any-table-and-page/ (this only adds the drag & drop function – you still need to add the attachment function to the page first).
Trying to attach files to journals would not be easy since you would first need to customize for the attachments and then add logic to handle where they flow to (attachments do not flow to related records unless the logic exists). Journal attachments have not been tested, so results of attempting them are unknown and not covered by support.

The extension is attempting to upload an attachment tied to the Purchase Line rather than the Purchase Header. Please advise.

    Hi Support,

    users are getting following message
“DocXtender was not able to create a sharePoint link.
    SharePoint’s Message: Error not fund.
Please review your Sharepoint Host, Site, and Folder in the DocXtender setup page.
if this is a duplicate file you want to add. change Duplicate behavior to Replace or Automatically rename”

User has “super” Access and DocXtender setup is already have setup with “Automatic Rename”

    Any suggestion?
