For Business Central On-premises environments, configure device licenses using the Devices page in Business Central.

1. Configure the device license on the Devices page in Business Central:
   1. Select +New.
   2. Input the MAC address for the scanner to uniquely identify it.
   3. Input a scanner name (e.g., Scanner1).
   4. Select the Device Type that matches the device license type on the Business Central On-Premises License type (typically Full or ISV).
2. Configure the User Card on the Users page:
   1. Select the user card to use the device license.
   2. Set the License Type to Device Only User.
